The District School Board of Pasco County enters into negotiations each year with the United School Employees of Pasco (USEP) for both the Instructional and SRP Master Contracts. These contracts address any applicable salary increases provided for teachers and SRP. Based on the salary increases provided to teachers and SRP, a recommendation is made to provide commensurate amounts to administrative and noninstructinal nonbargaining employees.
For the 2013-2014 school year, the negotiated salary increases for instructional personnel represent an increase of $9,573,988 or approximately 4.6% Negotiated salary increases for SRP represent an increase of $2,789,549 or approximately 5.6%. Approval of these amounts will be requested as part of the Board's ratification of the Instructional and SRP Master Contracts.
Staff is proposing increasing the salaries of administrative employees by $968,808 or approximately 4.0%. Staff is also proposing increasing the salaries of noninstructional nonbargaining employees by $814,732 or approximately 4.8%
